- Reveal Safe Zones: Click or tap a tile to reveal what's underneath. If it's a number, it indicates exactly how many mines are hiding in the adjacent eight squares.
- Flag the Danger: Use logic to deduce where the mines are. Right-click on desktop or tap-and-hold on mobile to place a flag on a suspected mine.
- Master Chording: Once you've correctly flagged the mines around a number, click the number itself to instantly reveal all remaining adjacent tiles! It's a pro move that drastically improves your speed.
- Clear the Board: You win by uncovering every single safe tile. Remember, you don't actually have to flag every mine to win, just avoid clicking on them!

How do Seeds work? Why did my board change?
To guarantee that every board is solvable without guessing, the game actually waits until you make your first click before generating the mine layout. It forces that first click to be a safe zone (a zero) and builds a logically solvable puzzle around it based on your Seed. Therefore, to replay the exact same board layout, you must use the same Seed and click the exact same starting tile!
What is the best strategy for beginners?
Start with the basics: look for corners and straight lines where the numbers give away the mine locations (like the classic 1-1 and 1-2 patterns). Take your time, don't rush, and use our integrated hints if you get stuck!
Do I have to flag every mine to win?
Nope! Your goal is to reveal all the safe cells. While flagging helps you keep track of the danger and enables fast 'chording', the game recognizes a win the moment all safe squares are uncovered.
What happens if I click a mine?
